Sudden cardiac death refers to a condition caused by heart and blood vessel issues, leading to sudden loss of consciousness, breathing stops, loss of heart sounds and pulse in the major arteries, and death within one hour after the onset. Before the event, the patient may already have underlying heart problems such as coronary heart disease, heart failure, or myocarditis, even if these have not yet shown clear signs. When the event occurs, existing structural defects in the heart are triggered by certain factors.
Currently, sudden cardiac death is increasingly affecting younger people. Prolonged and intense exercise, staying up late, and extreme fatigue are major triggers of this condition. Therefore, young people should develop healthy living habits and avoid unhealthy lifestyles that drain the body, such as staying up late, overworking, excessive stress, and continuous high-intensity exercise.
