In Shanghai, 107 teenagers from 17 countries came together for a special summer youth camp. For 10 days, they lived, learned, and made friends with Chinese students of the same age.
Matilda, a 16-year-old from Australia, was amazed by what she saw in Shanghai. “I had seen robots online, but seeing them move around was so cool!” she said. She also hoped to try driverless taxis in the city. Charlotte from the US was impressed by the tall buildings and the rapid development of Shanghai.
The teenagers also experienced Chinese culture. They visited a silk museum and learned how silk is made. They tried on traditional Chinese clothing called hanfu. Some even tried cupping(拔火罐), a traditional Chinese medicine treatment.
